Day 3 Answers:

Pic 1: Liberia - The country was created in order to settle the freed slaves in the US. Hence the resemblence of the flags.

Pic 2: Abkhazia - The de-facto republic is recognized by Russia, Nicaragua and other unrecognized countries like South Ossetia and Transnistria.

Pic 3: Confederate States of America - The shortlived republic consisting of the pro-slavery southern states. This flag was called the blood stained banner. There were other flags used by the confederacy as well, such as the " stars and bars" and the "stainless banner" .

Pic 4: Jammu and Kashmir - The only state in India that has its own flag. This is in fact a modification of the flag of the National Conference. The three vertical white strips were added to reflect the regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Laddakh.

Pic 5: Uganda - The colours Black, Yellow and red were adopted from the flag of the Uganda People's congress, supposed to represent African Peoples (black),African Subnshine (yellow) and African brothehood (red) . The bird depicted is a Grey Crowned Crane, the national symbol.

Pic 6: Tibet - Called the Snow Lion flag, this was introduced in the reign of the 13th Dalai Lama. Now it is used by the Tibetean Government in Exile.

Pic 7: Niger - Put this flag just because of the similarity to the Indian National Flag. The three bands represent Sahara (Orange), The river Niger (White) and the fertile regions of South Niger (Green) and the orange circle representing the sun or independance.

Pic 8: Papua New Guinea: The Red and Black represent the traditional tribal colours of PNG. The constellation depicted is the Southern Cross, and the bird is a reggiana bird of paradise.

Pic 9: Hezbollah - The Flag depicts the word "Hezbollah" written in Arabic, a letter of which is extended as an arm clasping an AK-47. Hezbollah means the "Party of God" . The words "Islamic resistance in Lebanon is also mentioned beneath the logo.

Background Pic: Wales - Called the Y Ddraig Goch ( the red dragon), it is often believed to be the oldest national flag still in use.
